A more classic Anchorage home one could not imagine! Four bedrooms in a traditional two-story design, plus an office overlooking the two-story tall family room. All bedrooms, and the office, are upstairs. The main living areas, formal living and dining rooms, kitchen with breakfast area, and family room are on the main level.
Brookwood Hills is that lovely compact South Anchorage neighborhood that's composed of no through streets. You'll often find people socializing and kids playing up and down its two cul-de-sacs. The respected Bowman Elementary School is right down the street, just a short walk for little ones. The "secret" of that school is the undeveloped area behind it, recently acquired by the Greatland Trust for conservation purposes. Instead of a planned development, the area is natural, with lovely walking trails and wildlife.
The neighborhood was developed and the homes were largely built by the John Hagmeier Co., one of Anchorage's most respected builders. The main living areas of the home face south, for maximum sun exposure. The home has been well-maintained, with a new furnace, an insulated garage door and numerous cosmetic upgrades. The exterior was recently repainted, too.
