This is one of the more prized homes in Goldenview Park, for a number of reasons.
It is mostly a one-level home. It lives like a ranch. One could live on the street level with its great room and master bedroom suite. Downstairs is very functional, with three bedrooms (one with no window, really a potential media room),. bath and very large family room. The home is altogether a roomy 3620 square feet. The three-car garage is 1028 square feet, absolutely enormous.
The lot for this home is one of the best in the neighborhood. It enjoys a singular lack of crowding because of a community park across the street. Because of the way the lot slopes away from the street and the placement of the home you have an uncrowded feel. The view is from all the main living areas of the home out to the southwest across Cook Inlet at the Alaska Range.
The interior amenities of the home are first-class, especially the signature kitchen with its granite countertops.
Goldenview Park is a sough-after destination for corporate transferees who are new to Alaska, and local homeowners who seek an upgraded home. Owners speak of the strong schools in the area, the larger lots, sidewalks, interior greenbelts and a feeling of "living in Alaska". On the Hillside, the neighborhood enjoys public utilities, underground electric, cable and phone service, and easy access to the city from Rabbit Creek Rd.
