Finding a newer home -- 10 years old in this case -- on Hillside with a great view can be a challenge. For those who prize their privacy, here you are at the dead-end of a gravel road. From the head of the drive one would hardly notice the house down there. At the same time there is privacy, many people also don't want to take forever and endure problematic driving conditions to get to work, school or the store. That's also the case here: it's about 150 yards up the road to paved Upper Huffman, down to Hillside Drive, and off you go.
This is a large land parcel, 2.5 areas, well-buffered from neighbors. Most of it is not landscaped, user-friendly for those who don't like excessive mowing.
The view is stunning and completely unobstructed. The Chugach range close by to the east, more mountains and Turnagain Arm to the south, Cook Inlet and the Alaska Range to the west and northwest.
On three levels, the home is a traditional two-story with a lower level walk-out from family areas below. That lower level also has a generous storage room, 3/4 handicap bath (created for an elderly relative) and the mechanical room. With the office on the main level that is beside a 3/4 bath, there are five bedrooms total: the oversized septic system is also rated and approved for five bedrooms.
There is a triple garage, lots of parking around the circular driveway, and RV parking.
Cosmetically the home is very current decor, very clean and neat, with new carpet. Granite countertops complete the kitchen, which has a formal dining room on one side and breakfast area and family room on the other. The pictures and virtual tour will speak for themselves.
